Design
Bathe in fresh air
"Less is more" has always been our motto in design, but it requires us to make every change to evolve our designs. While the top frame of the Air75 retains its minimalist look (save for black in the multiple color options), the bottom case has undergone fundamental yet subtle changes. Thanks to an improved laser texturing process, the bottom case is now more transparent and finely textured, making the Air75’s interior visible and playing up to its overall aesthetic.
It's the other way around. Internal components, from the PCB to the battery, are colored to match the keyboard's color theme, which, coupled with the now wavy "Ionic" bottom groove, gives off a layered, nuanced vibe. On top of that, light bar glasses are coated with a thin layer of metal to enhance their consistency with the overall look and durability.
Desktop experience with or without a desk. Desktop, laptop or mountaintop...the flexibility of our V3 stand combined with the exceptional portability of the Air75 gives users the freedom to use it wherever they choose for work and the office.
Wireless performance
Leading the race to 1000Hz
Can thinness and lightness be combined with ultimate keyboard wireless performance and low latency? Tradition says no, but at Air75, our tradition is to challenge the limits of the “yes” space. With support for 4 devices simultaneously for the first time, we've made a huge leap forward in wireless performance by unlocking 1000Hz polling rate 2.4G connections. Through a state-of-the-art chip and attention to detail that facilitates radio wave propagation, we've put the new Air75 into the ranks of 1000 Hz professional gaming keyboards, with 2.4G speeds and 60% more durability than the 4000's 60% mAh battery. The Air75's wireless experience improves so much that it's hard to distinguish from the wired experience.
The success of the circuit lies in. A polling rate of 1000Hz may be noticeable, but actual latency depends on factors such as the MCU's matrix scan rate, processing and debounce time, wireless cache size, and more. Never content to do things halfway, we backed Nordic's state-of-the-art NRF52810 SoC with the high performance of the STM32F072 MCU and used carefully designed test procedures to ensure total trip latency was minimized.
Numbers tell us the truth. We ran some benchmark tests on the new Air75's latency performance against its predecessor and another QMK-based keyboard. Suffice it to say, we were all blown away by the results and happy to end once and for all the myth that thin keyboards are unsuitable for professional gaming and low-latency applications.
Connection speed comparison
* Latency test is performed using a hardware debugging unit that complies with the CMSIS-DAP standard, by measuring the time difference between closing the Enter key switch body and registering the key event on the PC, and subtracting the inherent delay of the instrument (by the manufacturer) from measurements. The test results do not take into account the pre-travel delay of the key switch, which varies between different types of switch, because the switch circuit is closed electronically during the test.
Battery life comparison
* All battery life tests were conducted in June 2023 using professional battery testing software. Each tested product model will run the benchmark test 10 times in a row, and the average of the benchmark test results will be used as its battery life rating.
firmware
Create borderless keybindings and transform layouts via VIA layers.
While we pride ourselves on incorporating innovation and thought into our products, we have to make an exception when it comes to firmware: starting with Air75 V2, all Airs will ship with QMK/VIA. We believe that with new firmware, open source code, endless button remapping, lighting customization, and other creative possibilities that VIA offers users, the full potential of our hardware is realized and the fun really begins!
Mac, Windows, Linux...you name it. VIA's key remapping and macros work seamlessly on all major desktop platforms or any supported browser platform, making it easier to customize Air75 to your liking.
The virtual side of the physical switch. The Win/Mac mode switch, an integral part of all NuPhy keyboards since the original Air75, is now fully integrated with VIA's layer, making it even more scalable and customizable with the same convenience.
System
Better OS/Laptop compatibility
Our operating system support and localization efforts continue to evolve to adapt to the conditions of QMK-based platforms. The dedicated "Spotlight", "Dictation" and "Launchpad" shortcuts provided in the latest MacOS are now implemented through QMK, and the F-key replacement keycaps that debuted on Air96 have also appeared on Air75. We will continue to look for more methods and shortcuts, including building new hardware, on the software side to bring additional value to our users.
The best partner for MacBook/notebook computers. The better "footprint" of Airfeet V3 allows the Air75 to be installed between the rows of keys, so it can be installed on the top of most laptops, including the full range of MacBooks.
Laptop compatibility
keycap
Half thickness two-tone keycaps
Air75 finally comes with two-color PBT keycaps! With crisper text, more vibrant colors, and record-breaking thinness, you're sure to have more fun styling your beloved Air with our extensive range of two-tone keycap themes.
Tick it up a notch. If you're concerned about both appearance and thickness, you'll love our line of Dye-sub keycaps, which, in addition to great sound quality, have a lasting legacy through the dye-sublimation process.
Put the backlight in front. Our new low-profile light-transmitting keycap set is now available and can be enjoyed in a dark room, a hot cup of coffee, or maybe when some vicious monsters are coming for you.
Sound
Can't see but can hear
Structural acoustic engineering is increasingly considered critical to overall keyboard sound performance, but is still barely used in low-profile keyboards beyond the Air96. The new Air75 is based on the plate-shaped partial hollow sound absorption and IXPE PCB sound purification solutions we successfully implemented on the Air96, and is optimized for smaller dimensions, thus comprehensively improving the sound concentration and purity of the shaft. Using silicone sound shaping technology derived from our acclaimed GhostBar, special attention is also paid to aligning the space key with the rest of the keys.
NUPHY axis
Axis Brewing Contains More Ingredients
Our low-profile floral range of shafts has been met with increasing enthusiasm since the launch of Air96, and we've been busy experimenting with our secret recipe of extra-long strokes, high-precision molding and pre-lubrication to find ways to perfect it and give you even more flavor. Moss borrowed its design from Gateron's Baby Kangaroo and was the first early crash tactile switch for a low-profile keyboard. If you like the ultra-exciting typing feeling, then the Moss, with its 16.5mm spring and only 0.6mm bump distance, is not to be missed. Another change to the range is the improved Daisy, now called the Cowberry, whose pre-travel has been shortened to 1.2mm for fast fire speeds for gaming and all non-gaming purposes that require it.

GATERON shaft
Not so regular regulars
If you want to stay with your trusty red, blue, or brown friend, there's good news, too. The veteran Gateron axes have all been upgraded in the new 2.0 version with 3.2mm travel, high-precision molding and enhanced pre-lubrication for better tactile response and smoothness. The exterior has also been slightly modified to make it more symbolic: the bottom case now shows the true color of its PA66 material, instead of being painted black.

change. exchange. swagger.
Each Air75 keyboard supports hot swapping, allowing you to easily replace or upgrade the switches without soldering, and enjoy a different typing experience without limitations. We also provide four additional mechanical shaft bodies in the package. This allows for a different typing experience and allows easy replacement of damaged shafts.
Light
Flowing backlight and sidelight
Inspired by the battery indicator on early MacBooks, which was hidden inside the case when inactive, we added two RGB light strips on each side of the Air75's aluminum frame. The light on the left shows Caps Lock and connection mode, and the light bar on the right indicates battery level and system mode. When you activate the gradient lighting effect, the side lights illuminate your keyboard with an eye-catching glow.
Available on multiple operating systems, the VIA client and settings page can be used to create nearly unlimited personalized lighting and color effects, maximizing the Air75's RGB potential.
To set up your Air75 using the official VIA configurator, follow the instructions here.
