Overview
KeyChron K5 Max is an ultra-fixed wireless custom mechanical keyboard. It supports 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired connections. It allows anyone to master any key or macro command on its 100% via Via. Additionally, it has included LSA (Low Profile Spherical Angle) profiles for Windows and MacOS, which users can thermally perform with the Gateron Low Profile MX Mechanical Switches (a breeze) (for RGB only backlit thermal stitching versions).
Blending classic design with advanced connectivity, the K5 Max keyboard is 100% laid out and supports 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired connectivity. With QMK/VIA customization, it improves productivity and gaming, delivering a smooth, responsive experience.
2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connectivity
Experience unparalleled performance with K5 Max's 2.4 GHz wireless connection, delivering a fast 1000 Hz polling rate. Its Bluetooth 5.1 capabilities enable seamless switching between computers, phones and tablets, allowing for smooth multitasking across three devices.
Ultra thin
Innovative low-profile Gateron switches are 31% thinner than conventional switches, making the aluminum-body K5 Max one of the world's thinnest wireless mechanical keyboards. while still providing excellent tactile response.
Works on all devices
Provides Mac layout while maintaining compatibility with Windows. It stands out in the market by offering Mac users the same multimedia and function key functionality as Apple keyboards, but with enhanced tactile feedback.
Additionally, you can configure different keymaps for Mac and Windows devices. VIA software is compatible with macOS, Windows and Linux. This keyboard includes keycaps for macOS and Windows, as well as extra esc and Enter keys to help seamlessly switch between operating systems.
Epic core interior
The powerful ARM architecture MCU with 256KB flash memory will provide developers with greater flexibility. Out of the box 2.4GHz and a polling rate of 1000 Hz in wired mode make lag barely noticeable even in competitive gaming.

Redesigned stabilizer
We redesigned the stabilizer to be on the same level as the switch, while ensuring it still provides reliability and reduces shake on large keys like Space, Left Shift, Backspace and Enter.
Ergonomic support
Three-level adjustable typing angle is designed to provide long-lasting ergonomic wrist support.
Hot swap
We all have our own unique typing preferences, which is why we offer hot-swap options on the K5 Max so you can easily hot-swap each low-profile Gateron mechanical switch in seconds for custom typing with no soldering required experience.
*K5 Max is currently only compatible with Gateron/Keychron thin mechanical switches as QMK does not support thin optical switches
Thin two-color PBT keycaps
Designed for a high-end feel, K5 Max features our unique two-tone PBT keycaps, made from a durable, non-backlit light-transmitting PBT material that's exceptionally oil-resistant for long-term use.
RGB backlight
Featuring over 22 RGB backlight settings (plus a static white backlight option), the white-backlit version comes with 14 backlight settings. You can easily further fine-tune RGB hue, saturation, brightness, effect speed.
