The TS4 is compatible with a wide range of Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, and USB-C computers, as well as the host computer connected to it. It will extend the functionality of your computer with a variety of extensions.

Fastest laptop charging speeds
The TS4 delivers up to 98W of power when your laptop needs charging.
This is the highest charging capacity of any Thunderbolt 4 docking station and is ideal for larger laptops that need more power.
For laptops and tablets that require less than 98W, the TS4 will provide the right amount of charging watts for your device's actual needs.
THUNDERBOLT 4/USB4 Ports
The TS4 supports Thunderbolt 4/USB4 ports with up to 40Gb/s transfer rates.
One of the ports is defaulted to be dedicated to the host side for connecting to your laptop. The other two ports allow the TS4 to be used with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, or USB-C devices, including monitors, SSDs, hubs ......, and more.
8 USB Ports
Including USB-A and USB-C interfaces, the TS4 has a total of 8 USB ports, so you can get the most out of your SUB peripherals*.
All USB ports on the TS4 offer 10Gb/s transfer performance.
*USB-C and USB-A ports are data-only, so if you need to connect an external monitor, you'll need to use a Thunderbolt 4/USB4 port that isn't dedicated to the host.
20W USB-C Ports
One of the USB-C ports on the front can provide up to 20W of power to your serialized USB-C devices. This is ideal for peripherals that require more power, such as Apple's MagSafe wireless charger.
An Indicative Original Reinvention

External Single 8K Screen or 4K 60HZ Dual Viewer
The TS4 delivers a refined and outstanding resolution experience when used as an external monitor.
Single Screen Output
If you need to connect an external monitor to the TS4, you can choose either DisplayPort or one of the Thunderbolt 4 ports. If you need to use an HDMI monitor, you can use an active DisplayPort to HDMI or USB-C to HDMI adapter.
Dual-View Output
If you're an M1 Pro, M1 Max, or Intel Mac user, you can connect dual monitors.
Please note that if your Mac is an M1 version, dual-viewing is not supported via the Thunderbolt port.
Users of Windows Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 computers can connect to dual displays.
DUAL DISPLAY SET UP VIDEO
Note: If you plan to connect dual displays above 4K 60Hz, such as dual 5K 60Hz or 6K 60Hz, your display and host GPU must support DSC 1.2 (Display Stream Compression) and DP 1.4 HBR3. The Apple M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, and M1 Ultra support DSC 1.2 and DP 1.4 HBR3. LG UltraFine 5K displays do not support DSC.
In addition, if you plan to connect a single display above 4K 60Hz, your host GPU and display must also support DSC 1.2 and DP 1.4 HBR3.
*Some Windows PC manufacturers have decided to limit the functionality of their Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C ports, such as charging and display compatibility. Check if your PC supports external monitors.
**Some refresh rates require the host GPU and monitor to support DP 1.4 HBR3 and DSC 1.2.
Some Thunderbolt 3 hosts that only support DP 1.2 will be limited to lower resolutions and refresh rates.
Bit/color depth may vary to support higher refresh rates.
Support for higher refresh rates may vary depending on operating system updates.
2.5 GIGABIT Ethernet
The TS4 is an expansion base that offers a number of unique features, including, of course, high-speed networks such as 2.5GbE.
2.5GbE is 2.5 times faster than traditional Ethernet and is becoming the new standard for routers, switches and NAS. *
Typically, a USB to 2.5GbE adapter costs between $20 and $55.
The 2.5GbE capability on the TS4 represents a great value for the money.
Of course, the 2.5GbE port on the TS4 can still be used with traditional 1GbE Ethernet devices.
**Ethernet is only supported on Thunderbolt-based hosts and PCIe-enabled USB4 hosts. Please contact your USB4 host manufacturer for PCIe support information.
Tablet PCs
Connect the TS4 to your Thunderbolt/USB-C iPad or Windows tablet to create innovative workflows.
*The capabilities of your tablet will depend on the level of performance it can support.
SD 4.0 & microSD
The front-mounted SD and microSD card slots provide a convenient shortcut to your SD memory card. Both slots support UHS-II for optimal read speeds.
Offline Charging
The TS4 has offline charging capabilities on the front of the unit through USB-A, USB-C and two of the USB-A ports on the back.
This allows the TS4 to charge any USB device, such as a cell phone or tablet, even when it's not connected to any host computer.

3X Audio Ports
While some users prefer to simply and intuitively connect their headphones from the front of the docking station, others prefer to connect from the back of the docking station in order to keep their workgroup's devices neat and tidy.
The TS4 provides audio output ports on both the front and rear of the docking station to accommodate a wide range of work habits. *
There is also a dedicated audio input port on the rear of the unit for connecting a microphone.
*Only one of the front and rear audio ports can be used at a time. The system defaults to the front port if the device is connected on both ends.
Security Lock Hole
When you have one of the world's most powerful docking stations, you don't want it taken off the table, and the security locking holes on the TS4 allow you to secure it for added protection.
APPLE SUPERDRIVE
For external devices such as the Apple SuperDrive, which Apple requires to be connected to a laptop for extra power, CalDigit has developed an exclusive driver that allows the SuperDrive to connect directly to the TS4.
*A one-time driver installation is required.

Removing all the peripherals from the docking station one by one can be cumbersome.
Therefore, CalDigit provides a free macOS program to remove all peripherals at once with just one click.
*This program requires a one-time installation and is only available for macOS.
